Film Showing:
Bad Faith
In the run-up to the US presidential election on 5 November, PEN Scotland will be showing the documentary film Bad Faith (2024), highlighting the links between White Nationalism, the Evangelical Christian movement and the Republican Party.

The film exploring how Christian nationalism has become the most powerful anti-democratic force in the USA, with an unparalleled ability to destroy democracy from within. Secular and interfaith leaders are joining forces to defend the country from this march to fascism, but Americans seem unaware of the threat. With the election of the next president of the USA only weeks away, the film offers a stark vision of what may happy should Donald Trump be returned to the White House.

A short discussion will follow the film to give participants the chance to explore the themes raised.
